I knew it!

My mother-in-law is a big Oprah fan, often calling us to quote the megastar's take on various subjects. Of course, our discussions have never touched on the whole Million Little Pieces debaucle.

And it comes as no surprise to me that a researcher at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York has now found a connection between daytime television and depressed mental acuity scores.

An excerpt:

A study of 289 older women without dementia found that those who rated talk shows and soaps as their favorite programs performed more poorly on tests of memory, attention and mental quickness than their peers who cited other types of shows.

I don't want to gloat or anything, but...I toldja so! Toldja, toldja, toldja so! Wow, that felt good!
